Literary translator, editor, reviewer and teacher

Currently translating The Phone Box at the Edge of the World by Laura Imai Messina, out with Manilla Press (Bonnier Books) in June 2020.

Brought up in North Norfolk, I graduated with a first class BA in Spanish and Italian and an MA in Comparative Literature with distinction from the University of Bristol, and I currently live with my husband in Oita, Japan.

My work has been published in CagibiThe Journal of Postcolonial Writing, Doppiozero, Litro Magazine, and LitHub.

Open to all collaborations including translation, editing, proofreading, reviews, reader reports - get in touch!

If you would like to receive an email notification when I publish a new review of a great Italian book that has not yet been brought into English (about once a month), pop your details down here:
